Caroline Bivens is the chief financial officer at AMS, where she leads the company’s accounting, contracts and purchasing organizations while overseeing AMS’ financial strategy. She helps guide the company’s continued growth by ensuring strong financial performance, operational discipline and sound financial stewardship.

Prior to joining AMS, Bivens worked at Dynetics for more than seven years, where she held roles including senior operational accounting manager and senior financial reporting manager. In these roles, she was responsible for financial reporting for a $1 billion portfolio with six ledgers across multiple entities. She joined AMS as enterprise controller, where she led the company’s accounting operations, regulatory compliance and external audit management before being promoted to chief financial officer.

She currently serves as treasurer on the board of the Women’s Economic Development Council Foundation and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville Connect Class 22 and Flagship Class 37. She is also a former participant in the Women’s Economic Development Council, where she served as chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee, and a former member of the advisory council for Elevate, a global business plan competition for undergraduate and graduate students. In 2023, Bivens was recognized as one of Huntsville’s Top 40 Under 40 by the Huntsville Business Journal.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Bivens is passionate about giving back to her community. She has been an active volunteer with organizations such as Leadership Greater Huntsville and has mentored college business students interested in pursuing careers in the space and defense industry. She is dedicated to helping build a strong and vibrant community in Huntsville and is proud to be part of the city’s growth.

Bivens holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lee University, where she has also served as an adjunct professor in the School of Business. She currently serves on the AMS ESOP committee.
