Sarah Holmes is the director of supply chain for AMS, a role she has held since July 2024. She oversees all aspects of the purchasing and supply chain functions, including procurement, materials management, inventory control, logistics and supplier relationship management.

Prior to joining AMS, Holmes was hired as a senior buyer at Dynetics (now Leidos) and was promoted to procurement manager and later associate director of procurement during her tenure. She managed a team of four procurement managers, overseeing the day-to-day operations of a 35-plus-person department. She established goals, supported problem-solving efforts across the team, conducted corporatewide training on supply chain topics and played an integral role in transitioning the procurement organization following the acquisition.

Earlier in her career, Holmes began in procurement at Science and Engineering Services (SES) as a buyer and was promoted to purchasing supervisor.

Holmes is a member of the National Contract Management Association. She is also an advocate for foster care and actively volunteers with local organizations supporting children and families in the foster system. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville’s Management Academy (MA-16).

She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in management and leadership from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama.
